Trip To Zambia

Written by Andrew R Allan on Thursday, 16 May 2013. Posted in The Trumpet

I have been appointed by our denomination's Home & Foreign Mission Committee as a Trustee on Covenant College Zambia Trust. It is a three-year appointment and after I have completed my term another minister will be appointed in my place.

Covenant College Zambia Trust operates three main ministries: a College to train pastors in the reformed faith; a ministry to support Christian schools and teachers; and a College Farm operated on sound Biblical principles to help support the College and to train men to make the most of what God has given to them.

My principal duty as a trustee is to attend the AGM of Covenant College Zambia Trust and to represent the interests of our denomination on the Board of Trustees. The AGM is held around late March early April.

Recently I attended my first AGM and gave a series of lectures entitled “Preaching Christ From The Old Testament” to around a dozen Diploma level students. The lectures were not my own rather they were the lectures I received from my Old Testament lecturer at the Free Church Seminary Dr David P Murray.

I have produced a 20 minute DVD giving an audio visual account of my first trip to Zambia. If you would like a copy of the DVD please make contact with me and I'll arrange for you to get a copy.
